7/10 – Emotional intelligence
Emotional intelligence is a concept that may seem surprising at first glance, since it combines antithetical terms: “intelligence” and “emotion”.
Today we define emotional intelligence as the ability to recognize, analyze and understand one’s own emotions and the emotions of those around us, in order to direct thoughts and actions to be able to effectively face the demands and pressures of the environment.
It is therefore essential in companies to know how to master this emotional intelligence, especially if you are a manager. A job that requires an understanding of others, an ability to question, listen and ask questions, but also the ability to appreciate and assert one’s ideas, sometimes to convince a colleague, a superior, or even a client.
